17 Points Looks - Review Apple iPhone Looks (Max 20 Points) We don't know about you but we expected the looks of the 3GS to be different from the 3G version. Don't get us wrong, the previous version was pretty. Still, a bit of variation wouldn't have hurt. With that said, we give credit where credit is due and that is Apple surely made something beautiful with the 3G (and now 3GS) design. It's sexy and sure is a head turner. 13 Points Features – Review Apple iPhone Features (Max 15 Points) While the looks part may not have been disappointing as it was the same as the 3G version, we must say that we do like the features of the 3GS Apple iPhone handset. Now we have points to complain about but generally, these are features that you will enjoy. We like the better audio quality and faster RAM. The S part of the name pertains to speed, as everybody else assumes, and it IS a fast handset. It has a capacitive touchscreen with accelerometer and proximity sensor, bigger storage capacity, 3G, WiFi, camera, and GPS support. Features that we would have wanted are FM radio, better camera, video calls support, and stereo speakers. 10 Points Ease of Use – Review Apple iPhone Ease Of Use (Max 10 Points) Who doesn't love using the Apple iPhone handset? With the improvements, we certainly enjoyed every moment we spent tinkering with this Apple device. We loved the fact that it is now very easy to to move your apps on the homescreen. Creating your iTunes account is easy. And with the sheer number of apps made for the Apple iPhone handset, you will surely enjoy using this mobile, too. 4 Points Battery – Review Apple iPhone Battery (Max 5 Points) Compared to the 2G version, battery of this handset leaves a lot to be desired. If you play around with apps and turn 3G on all day, your battery will not last more than a day. If you are sneaky enough to know which features to turn off to save your battery life, then you're all set. 5 Points Applications Review Apple iPhone Applications (Max 5 Points) Applications is the part where the Apple iPhone is not lacking. Like we said, there are many, many iPhone apps out there that you can try. Some are free and some come with a fee. We'll have you know that downloading apps and trying them out were what made doing this Apple iPhone review even more fun. From amazing camera apps to credit card apps to everything in between, your pay monthly contract will run out before you get to try all of them. 5 Points Internet - Review Apple iPhone Internet User Experience (Max 5 Points) The 3GS Apple iPhone handset comes with a much improved Safari browser. And yes, browsing is fast. You also have 3G and WiFi so you pretty much have great options if you want to go online. 3 Points Internet Speed – Review Apple iPhone Internet Speed & Connection (Max 3 Points) What makes the 3GS much better than the previous Apple iPhone handsets is that is it noticeably fast. If the 3G is twice as fast as the 2G, the 3GS is thrice as fast as the 3G. 5 Points Texting - Review Apple iPhone Text Messaging Experience (Max 5 Points) The new Apple OS version sure made texting much better. With the accelerometer, you can easily compose a text on horizontal or vertical mode. Although, the touchscreen QWERTY keypad might be just a tad narrow if you text on vertical mode. We liked the threaded conversation feature of the SMS, of course. 10 Points Menu – Review Apple iPhone Menu Usability / Controllability (Max 10 Points) As mentioned, organizing the homescreen is much easier with the Apple iPhone 3GS. You can also now display a maximum of 11 apps screens and that is a great improvement as scrolling for the apps you're looking for can be too confusing sometimes. 10 Points Features Usability – Review Apple iPhone Main Feature Usability (Max 10 Points) This is another area where the Apple iPhone handset truly shines. Once you get everything figured out, you will be tapping and scrolling your day away. Of course, with the right apps, the iPhone handset makes for one incredible mobile experience. 10 Points Enjoyment – Apple iPhone Reviewer's Enjoyment (Max 10 Points) Surely, there is no other smartphone that we enjoyed using more than the 3GS Apple iPhone. As you can assume, this Apple iPhone review was not a chore for us. Well, doing reviews is not really chore but you get what we mean. 2 Points - Like / Dislikes (Max 2 Points) Super loved, really. We have many reasons for this. For one, it is cool to own an iPhone and secondly, this really is a wonderful device. With all the fun apps out there and games specifically made for the Apple OS, there is no dull moment with this handset. 94% Review - Final Thoughts on the Apple iPhone This handset alone is wonderful but we know that many people don't exactly have great things to say about it because it is quite expensive. Even if you choose a pay monthly plan, you will still end up paying up to several hundred pounds for the device. Here is what we think: paying for the device is a one-time deal.
