If you are unsure or don’t want to be tied in for a long period look for a 12 month contract phone. There are still plenty to choose from with lots of new mobile offers. Contracts are getting better year on year and my personal choice would be a 12 month deal. Think, look at the deals on offer now for new mobile handsets compared to 12 months ago, so, hopefully in 12 months from now you will get an even better deal. However, if you text a lot, the 18 month unlimited texts deals are hard to turn down!

A. Do not take a contract that you will find financially hard to commit to; your credit rating is at stake if you do not keep payments up.
B. Check your previous bills and roughly estimate how many texts and calls per month you use before you buy a new mobile, an extra £5 per month on a standard contract could save you £100s over the term of your new mobile phone contract.

C. Pick the new mobile handsets that suit you, when you enter a new mobile phone contract you don’t want to get bored with it before the first payment!

Finally, consider insurance on your new mobile phone contract, this is not something we offer, but the little gems are now worth an awful lot of money. A few quid per month will give you peace of mind if anything was to happen to your new mobile handsets!
